Andrology

Men's health requires more than treating an isolated symptom

Listening and clinical examination

Understand the framework before defining conduct.

Andrology deals with conditions that affect the genitals and reproductive functioning of men. Testicular pain, a change in the penis or a change noticed on physical examination deserves to be understood in its context, without going directly to an exam or procedure.

At the consultation, I listen to the patient's history, assess their symptoms, and perform a careful physical examination. Depending on the case, I consider hormonal, laboratory or imaging tests. Treatment can be clinical or surgical.

The office

An environment reserved for consultation.

Consultations take place at Itaim, in São Paulo, in a space reserved for calm conversations, examinations and discussions at each stage of the investigation and treatment.

What I evaluate in andrology

01

Testicular changes:

pain, volume differences, nodules, varicocele and other changes noticed by the patient or on physical examination.

02

Penis changes:

curvatures, Peyronie's disease, phimosis, frenulum changes and other anatomical conditions.

03

Reproductive issues:

changes in the channels that transport sperm and conditions that can affect testicular function.

04

Hormonal health:

symptoms that may be linked to the functioning of the testicles and the hormonal axis, investigated before any treatment proposal.

Individualized conduct

From assessment to treatment

Each condition calls for a different behavior. Some require follow-up; others can be treated with medications or procedures. When surgery is indicated, I explain the reason for the recommendation, the alternatives and what can be expected from the treatment.

Next step

An andrological assessment begins with understanding your case.

The consultation advises which tests and treatments are really necessary.
